Hi, I am Sharidan Ali originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I moved to Zürich in July 2017 to join my husband who works here. I have experience in teaching English as a second language and as a writer. I taught English for hospitality and business management students for five years before I became a journalist. I was then attached to Malaysia’s leading English newspaper (www.thestar.com.my) as an English financial journalist for 12 years. Throughout my career, I have written thousands of corporate and economic news reports, financial features and human interest stories. In terms of copy writing, I have been freelancing with many PR companies that need assistance in writing press releases, annual reports, speeches, website content etcetera. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from an international university in Malaysia. Recently, I have also obtained a Cambridge Certificate of English Language Teaching to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from Flying Teachers in Zürich.
